TweetEasy Ultra

I made some modifications and upgrades to the TweetEasy. Using eight switches and a binary numbering system, the new system allows for 256 unique messages to be posted to Twitter. It’s still a prototype, and I’m still working on the Processing sketch (coming up with 256 different tweets is a little difficult), but soon I will have all the specs and code posted.

Drakipies *Hamburger Casserole*

This is my version of the famous Hamburger Casserole.

3 lbs of hamburger
1 16 oz tub of sour cream
1 bag of Tator Tots
2 cans of french cut green beans
1 can of creamed corn

Brown meat and drain. Combine all ingredients except for Tator Tots in a bowl. Place mixture in a 9×13 casserole dish. Arrange Tator Tots on top of the mixture. Bake in a 450 degree oven for one hour. After one hour sprinkle cheese on top and bake ten more minutes.

Charity Sunday

Yes people it’s that time again. That time when you need to ask yourself “What do the Drakes do for me?” and “Why am I not sending them more money?”.

TweetEasy Pt 2

Code is finalized now. I’ve tested out the positions. I ended up using  Twitter4j to handle the Twitter API in Processing. I think the hardest part of this project was trying to figure out what to set the tweets to, but I decided to make it into an emergency system. Now you can check out my Twitter feed to see if I am under duress. Once I get the shield completed I’ll post pictures. Here is all the code:

TweetEasy Part 1

This is my newest project with the arduino duemilnove. I call it TweetEasy, because it posts to Twitter with the push of a button. The actual setup and programming of the arduino was fairly easy. It uses a rotary switch to make a selection between 4 (easily expandable to 6) preprogrammed tweets. Pushing the “send” button sends a value over serial to a Processing sketch. The sketch reads the value and posts the corresponding message to Twitter. This project was inspired by BakerTweet.

Drakipes

I’m starting a new feature here at Drake HQ. I’m calling it Drakeipes. Pronounced Drake-ih-pees. Like recipes, but from the Drakes. Get it? Good. Here’s one from me.

1 can American Easy Cheese

1 box frosted miniwheats

Open box of miniwheats and remove desired portion. Take lid off of easy cheese can and apply desired amount of cheese to frosted portion of cereal. Eat and enjoy. Note: easy cheese flavors can be exchanged.
